The Core Subjects 4-8 (211) Texas teacher certification area allows you to teach any one or a combination of English, math, science and/or social studies classes at the middle school level, 4th grade through 8th grade.

To add the bilingual certification, you would also take the Bilingual Education Supplemental (164) and Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Spanish (190). You must be fluent in Spanish to qualify.

Requirement for Admission:

Your college transcripts will be reviewed. A minimum of 24 credit hours (math, science, social studies, and English) are required.
