Region 6 Livingston ISD

Located in Livingston, TX, Livingston ISD educates over 4,100 students and employs over 600 members of staff and faculty. Although located in a small town, Livingston ISD still continues to grow. They have opened a new high school in 2011 and have recently renovated their intermediate campus, their Florence Crosby Auditorium, and one of their elementary campuses. Livingston ISD consists of 3 elementary campuses, 1 intermediate campus, 1 junior high school, 1 high school, and 1 alternative program. All schools within the district have achieved a rating of “Met Standards” by the Texas Education Agency. Their high school has been recognized for academic achievement in mathematics, and their elementary school for reading/ English language arts.

STAAR

The district has seen some improvement in their STAAR Performance percentages compared to 2012, specifically in math, science, and social studies. They have also seen improvement in their End of Course performances in all subject fields.

College and Career Readiness

As of 2012, their graduation rate was at a 94%, with a dropout rate of 0.8%. Around 79.7% of students in the class of 2012 graduated with the Recommended High School Program/DAP. Additionally, 58% of students graduated as college-ready graduates.
